By participating in the Sustainable Agriculture Academy at Millbrook Magnet High School you are becoming a part of one of Wake County's newest career academies designed to enhance our award winning agriculture program. You will learn the importance of sustainability and agriculture in a hands on way while exploring a career path of your choosing. Each year you will get experience in work based learning and grow closer with a cohort of fellow students. Along the way, you will also complete project based learning through cohorted CTE and core classes and complete an internship in your chosen pathway!  to edit.

Grow Your Technical Skills
Agricultural Mechanics Pathway:
  • Hands on classes in our on campus shop facility.
  • Learn basic carpentry, layout, plumbing and electrical skills.
  • Become a certified welder!
Animal Science Pathway:
  • Hands on classes in our on campus learning lab with small animals, aquariums, goats and chickens.
  • Earn up to five animal care and management industry credentials.
Plant Science Pathway:
  • Hands on classes in our on campus greenhouse and garden.
  • Partner with local business and schools to provide real world project planning and implementation.
